چکیده
Until now numbers of efforts have been made to deduce the optimized conditions for the in vitro regeneration of tomato plant. The optimized conditions deduced are contradictory to each other and to validate the optimum conditions the present investigation was carried out which directs the use of 1.5 mg/l IAA + 1.5 mg/l Zeatin with full strength Murashige and Skoog’s (MS) medium for the development of callus, which was regenerated in to complete plants by shoot development at 1.5mg/l of Zeatin and 1.5 mg/l of IAA and rhizogenesis in the full strength MS medium supplemented with 1.5 mg/l IAA.

CALLUS INDUCTION, IN VITRO SHOOT REGENERATION AND HAIRY ROOT FORMATION BY THE ASSESSMENT OF VARIOUS PLANT GROWTH REGULATORS IN TOMATO (Solanum lycopersicum Mill.)
In vitro morphogenesis is greatly influenced by plant growth regulators (PGRs). The effect of different plant growth regulators was assessed on callus induction, in vitro shoot regeneration and hairy root formation in tomato. The maximum callus induction frequency was recorded culturing hypocotyls, while in vitro shoot regeneration frequency was significantly higher when leaf discs were used as...

In order to select the best tomato cultivar for Agrobacterium mediated gene transformation studies, In vitro regeneration frequency of hypocotyls, leaf disc and shoot tip of five tomato cultivars (Lycopersicon esculentum) was investigated on a regeneration medium supplemented with 1 mg/l zeatin and 0.1 mg/l indole-3-acetic acid. Significant differences in regeneration capacity between genotypes...
متن کاملMorpho-physiological improving effects of exogenous glycine betaine on tomato (Lycopersicum esculentum Mill.) cv. PS under drought stress conditions
Drought stress reduces the yield and production of tomato (Lycopersicum esculentum Mill.). Tomato does not naturally accumulate glycinebetaine (GB) in the cells under natural conditions. Effects of exogenous glycinebetaine on some morpho-physiological characteristics of Lycopersicum esculentum Mill. cv. PS was evaluated at different levels of drought stress. The experiment was conducted in a fa...
متن کاملEffect of macro green algae extract on tomato (Lycopersicum sculentum Mill.) seedling growth characteristics
The effect of macro green algae (Chaetomorpha gracilis) inf Bandar-Abbas and filamentous green algae (Spirogyra sp.) in the Sirch river (Kerman Province) were assayed on growth characteristics of the tomato (Lycopersicum sculentum). In the seed priming experiment, we collected hot water extracts of green algae (Chaetomorpha gracilis) from Bandar Abbas seashores and filamentous green algae (Spir...
متن کاملاستفاده برونزا از 5 - آمینولوولینیک اسید (ALA) برای کاهش تنش شـوری در گیاه گوجهفرنگی (Lycopersicun esculentum Mill.)
In this research, the effects of 5-aminolevulinic acid, as a key precursor in the biosynthesis of porphyrin compounds such as chlorophyll, in mitigating salt stress were studied in Lycopersicum esculentum mill. Salinity at three levels (0, 50 and 75 mM NaCl) and ALA treatment at three levels (0, 1 and 2 mM) were applied on plants of this species. Both levels of salt (50 and 75 mM) reduced shoot...
